Mike Thorne

Mike Thorne

Mike was born at the age of zero & raised in the suburbs of Toronto, Canada.

He has been playing drums since he was six, and has worked with & recorded for countless Canadian Artists, including SAGA. He’s also an accomplished video and audio editor, and records music and voices for radio & TV.

Aside from playing and recording, he’s also been teaching drums and percussion for most of his life.

Neal Morse

Neal Morse was a founding member of Spock’s Beard and served as the band’s primary vocalist, keyboardist, and guitarist. His songwriting and musical direction were pivotal in shaping the band’s progressive rock sound.

Neal’s tenure with the band lasted from its inception in 1992 until his departure in 2002, during which he contributed to six studio albums and numerous live performances. His influence remains a significant part of the band’s legacy.

Nick D’Virgilio

Nick D'Virgilio

Nick D’Virgilio was a key member of Spock’s Beard, contributing his talents as a drummer, percussionist, and vocalist. He joined the band in 1994, shortly after its formation, and played a crucial role in defining the band’s sound and dynamic.

Nick’s drumming prowess and versatile vocal abilities were showcased across numerous albums and live performances. He was instrumental in the creation of some of the band’s most iconic tracks and was known for his energetic and passionate performances.

In addition to his musical contributions, Nick also took on production duties for several of the band’s recordings, further cementing his integral role within Spock’s Beard. His tenure with the band lasted until 2011, leaving a lasting legacy that continues to influence the band’s music and its fans.

Jimmy Keegan

Jimmy Keegan

Jimmy Keegan joined Spock’s Beard as a touring drummer in 2003 and became a full-time member in 2011. His dynamic drumming style and vocal abilities added a new dimension to the band’s sound. Jimmy’s contributions were significant on albums such as “Brief Nocturnes and Dreamless Sleep” (2013) and “The Oblivion Particle” (2015).

During his time with the band, Jimmy was known for his energetic live performances and his ability to seamlessly blend with the band’s intricate musical arrangements. He played a crucial role in both studio recordings and live shows, helping to maintain the high standards that fans had come to expect from Spock’s Beard.

Jimmy departed from the band in 2016, leaving behind a legacy of powerful performances and memorable contributions to the band’s discography.
