My Little Tour

Hello everyone!

It has been a couple of weeks since I last wrote and I apologize. I have been on the road doing some gigs and now I'm back to tell you about it. First off I have to say thank you so much to everyone who came to the shows. You all made me feel so good. So welcome. I hope you were entertained a little. I sure had a great time performing. Let's do it again soon!

The tour started with me and DJ Gruno flying to Boston. We were picked up by our friend Barry Kimmel and headed out to Lowell, MASS. After a afternoon of getting over a long flight we hooked up with Al Baillargeon at The Play Loft. We had a few beers and ate a little. We were going to try and make a Boston Red Sox game but it didn't happen. The next day was the first gig. It was a fantastic way to start "My Little Tour". I would like to personally thank Al Baillargeon and New Ears for putting on a great show and for taking good care of me. It was a great night with a great crowd. Yes, I messed a couple of things up. I said The Doorway was on Kindness Of Strangers when I know it is really on Beware Of Darkness. I just didn't "really" know it at that particular time:) I played just about every tune I had and loved every minute of it.

The next day Gruno, Barry and I headed off to Jim Robinson's New Jersey Proghouse. This was my 2nd time to the proghouse and I hope I get to do it again. What a great gig. Jim puts on great evening. Greg Jones brewed his caffeine of love, we ate, we partied, we rocked!! Greg's band Pinnacle played with me on Ghosts Of Autumn (with real Taurus pedals I might add) and Blackest Eyes by Porcupine Tree. Thanks guys! Your rocked. John Feldmann played guitar on Kevin Gilbert's Tears Of Audrey while a fumbled my way through the words. Thanks John. I haven't had the chance to play that song since I played it with Kevin a very long time ago. It brought back some nice memories. Many thanks to Jim and every one who helped him put on the gig. You spoiled me.

The next day Gruno, Barry and I headed down to North Carolina for a two day stint at Progday. It is a festival of music set on a farm just outside of Chapel Hill N. Carolina. Peter Renfro and a host of others put on this festival that I have heard is now the longest running prog festival to date. Again I would like to personally thank Peter and every one who helped get me there. I had a great time playing. I stuck out a little being the only guy on the bill with out a band but It was still a blast. The first day I had to wait to play because of a performance piece by "The Borg". He may have another name but I don't know it. It was interesting following him. The second day we had to contend with some nasty weather. But the people stuck it out like troupers. I had to stop half way through my first song because of lightning. So I went to the front of the stage and sang sans PA with the crowd. Soon I was back on the mic to finish my set.

After that Gruno and I travel back to LA and Barry drove back to MASS. I played down in San Diego at Victor's by the Bay on the 4th. Again a very cool show. That was my first gig of "My Little Tour" with the amazing Rick Musallam helping me out on Guitar. Rick plays with me in the Mike Keneally band and is one of the worlds great people. He is such a good guitarist. Speaking of Mike Keneally. Mike showed up and sat in with us on a few songs. Thanks to all at Victor's for having me.

On the 6th Rick and I played at Molly Malone's in L.A. What an amazing evening for me. You never know what to expect when you play in your home town sometimes but the other night was fantastic. Such a great crowd. I feel I played and sang my best so far. Rick kicked ass as usual and then for the last two songs Al Morse came up and played with me. Thank you L.A. for showing me such a great time!

Now there is one show left on "My Little Tour". Up in Oakland CA at Imusicast on the 14th. Don't think I forgot about you all up there. I am looking forward to the show very much. If you need info on the gig just go to the concerts section of this site and you will find all the details there.

Many many many...I mean many thanks go out to Gruno and Barry K. I am blessed to have some really great friends. Gruno helped out selling merch and taking care of stuff and Barry did my sound and drove more then he should of on the east coast gigs. We had a good time hanging out and had a few really good laugh sessions.

After the last gig in Oakland it is off to rehearsal land with the band to get ready for our Europe tour in October. There will be more updates to come.

Thank you again to everybody who came to see me play. I can't wait to see

you all again.

All the best, NDV
